Your Brilliant Baby in Week 29: Learning about Moving & Stationary Objects

Week 29 Brain Booster

Want to entertain your baby for the afternoon? Locate a few different-sized balls and your largest cutting board, which you'll use for a ramp that goes from the couch to the floor. (If you have a toddler-sized slide, use that instead.) Now gather a few toys of various shapes, weights, and sizes to line up for the various balls to hit as each zooms down the ramp.

As you play together, watch which displaced objects interest your baby the most—and realize that your budding physicist (or future pool shark!) is calculating various factors that come into play. This activity will likely hold your child's interest for months to come.
