Clean Surfaces
Disinfecting surfaces that are frequently handled can help stop a virus. Countertops, toys, doorknobs, dishes (especially those sippy cups), bathroom surfaces, phones, keyboards, and anything else your family shares and touches frequently should be cleaned thoroughly. A dishwasher will take care of the germs on dishes and dishwasher-safe toys, and a disinfectant will cover the rest. When using a disinfectant, follow the directions on the label, which usually calls for letting the product stand for a few minutes before wiping.
