Now that the cold weather has hit, families cozy up and celebrate the arrival of winter. The brisk air heralds holidays, a new year, and marks the time to retrieve wool blankets, warm sweaters, and comfy outdoor winter wear.

For many northerners, this is a magical time when the world is transformed by fresh blankets of snow and colorful winter decorations. It is a season filled with warm visits from family and friends.
