Week 39 Brain Booster
Play simple games that involve categories. Mix together in a pile chopsticks and spoons. Start separating them into their individual categories. See if your child will join in the game.
When sitting at the park with your baby watching various vehicles go by, narrate each vehicle's appropriate category: "There goes a red truck. Now there's a motorcycle." By doing so, you're engaging with your child in a social-cognitive context (that is, learning while having fun with you!) while building his vocabulary at the same time.
