Q&A: Is it safe to use Nair while breastfeeding?

by Marie O'Sullivan, RN

Is it safe to use Nair while breastfeeding?

There have not been any studies conducted on the use of hair removal chemicals by lactating mothers. If you want to be sure that you are not tainting you milk with these chemicals, you may want to consider shaving or waxing as these methods pose no risk.

Better yet, go to a salon and have your legs waxed for you. It will be a real treat and will keep your legs smooth for much longer than Nair.
