My baby is only 7 weeks old and he seems to have symptoms of teething. When I called the doctor, she automatically said he was too young. He has been very fussy, and rubs his gums by putting his fist in his mouth. He had diarrhea for three days, and for the first time he is taking the pacifier. I know that babies are usually a bit older when these symptoms appear, but I feel he is teething early. Is that possible?

It is quite possible that your baby is teething at such an early age. Is your baby also drooling quite a bit and suffering from cold-like symptoms (such as congestion)? Though quite rare, I have even heard of babies born with a tooth already in their mouth.
This "teething" could last for a long time before the actual tooth errupts. Try your best to keep your baby comfortable while he goes through this phase. He will come out of it with a shiny, new tooth if all goes well.
