Aiden Mathew

It starts on Dec 22, 2009, 2 days past my Due date! I had a Dr's appt at 11:15am. At the appt, she checked me and said i was only 1 cm dilated but she went ahead and did a membrane sweep, and told me that might help speed things up. Btw, it hurt like hell lol. She also told me i would most likely feel crampy. So i get home, and sure enough i was having minor period like cramps.

At 3pm, i was pretty uncomfortable with the cramps so i laid down and tried to nap. I woke up a few times to the cramps and at 5pm got out of bed. They were still bothering me but they didnt really hurt. My bf got home at about 6 pm and i was back in bed because the cramps were getting worse and abit stronger. I was getting them every 5-7mins. They eased up abit by 7 so i got out of bed and tried to make dinner. The walking made them worse and the pain went to my lower back and It hurt really bad.

My bf was getting anxious but I told him I was fine for now. By 9pm they were STRONG. I couldnt move when a contraction came, and they were lasting about 45 secs, and coming every 3.5 mins. We called the hospital and they told me to have a warm shower and to come in when they were regular, and 5 mins apart. For a while they were irregular. By midnight the pain was so intense i was nauseaus and throwing up and shaking really bad. So we decided to go to the hospital. It took me 15 mins to get to the car. every step hurt. We got there at about 1am and they checked me. I was only 3cm!! wtf!! so they gave me morphine to help me sleep.

I woke up at 5:30 am to more intense contractions. i couldnt control my body!! So the nurse told me to go sit in the jacuzzi. The jaccuzi made them come stronger so i got out at 6:45am. I was crying for pain relief. The nurse checked me again at 7am and i was 8 cm. And my water bag was just hanging in there. at 7:30am my dr got there and checked me i was 9cm and broke my water. I couldnt have any pain relief because i had progressed so fast.

I started pushing at 7:45 and It was the worse pain ever. I couldnt control myself. I finally pushed him out at 9:02am. and the pain stopped!!!!! My baby boy was laying on my stomach and my Bf and i just started crying and couldnt stop looking at him. Aiden Mathew was totally worth all the pain and we couldnt be happier!!! Im actually proud / glad that I didnt have pain relief because it is alot better for the baby. Although at the time i thought different lol. I was in labour for 18 hours!! He was 7 lbs 11 oz and PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
