The information you receive online may be instant but adoption remains a waiting game. Caldwell believes one of the best analogies for prospective parents is to think of their adoption process as their pregnancy -- filled with all of the emotional ups and downs, worries, concerns, false alarms, and months of anticipation a mother carrying a child would experience. And remember, in the end, like labor, the hardships of the adoption process will fade away as you hold your child in your arms.
