Q&A: Best day to take HCG and Clomid?

I have two questions, the first one is if my cycle is 28 days, what day should I be getting my HCG shot. I'm also on 100 mg Clomid days 3-7.

The second is, if my husband smokes and has several drinks a day, and is 45 years old, how will his sperm be affected by his vices?

The timing of these drugs are varied by what a doctor's best results have come from. I usually give Clomid days 4-8, but I can't argue with 3-7.

Both vices will affect sperm count and sperm quality, but only a little bit. But if you're taking extraordinary measures yourself, shouldn't your husband be willing to come clean so as to stack the deck in your favor?
