In June I had surgery to correct endometriosis. In August my doctor put me on Clomid for three cycles, and I still didn't get pregnant. It has now been a year. I've been trying everything I can think of, including losing weight, and still nothing's happening. Do you have any suggestions?

There are a tremendous number of variables that will affect a couple's chance for becoming pregnant. Endometriosis, for example, lowers fertility rates but the impact is based in part on things like the severity of the endometriosis before surgery, the presence of other problems such as pelvic adhesions, and the effectiveness of the surgeon in removing the endometriosis and adhesions.
The bottom line is that if you have been trying without success for a year or more, it is time to see a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist for complete infertility testing and possibly moving on to other types of treatments.
