Khloe Kardashian: Getting Pregnant is Hard
Keeping up with the Kardashians? When it comes to getting pregnant, reality star Khloe Kardashian admits that her plans to have a baby are stuck in the slow lane.
Nope, Khloe Kardashian is not pregnant. What’s standing in her way? It’s not a lack of enthusiasm. Khloe and her husband, basketball player Lamar Odom, “would love to have kids.” But after two years of trying, she realizes that getting pregnant isn’t the walk in the park she thought it would be. “It’s so hard. I never knew about ovulation and the limited amount of time you have to get pregnant. I never knew about that. No one ever taught me that,” she explains (via the Daily Mail).
Apparently, Khloe and Lamar’s schedule conflicts with ovulation, the busy celebrity says. “With schedules such as ours, it’s really hard to hit that mark, so it’s frustrating, but I definitely want to have kids.”
If you’re a Kardashian fan like the rest of us, you probably know that this isn’t the first time Khloe has expressed concerns over becoming pregnant. In a recent episode of the reality show Khloe & Lamar, the cameras caught Khloe “freaking out” about possible infertility.
“I’m sorry for snapping at you and being on edge lately but I’ve been holding a lot of stuff in and trying not to bother you, but I’ve been freaking out about why I’m not pregnant,” we see her telling her NBA hubby. “It’s scary [to think] ‘Oh God, what if I physically can’t have kids.’”
If we could give Khloe a little friendly advice, it would be this: after two years of trying, it really is time to see your doctor for a checkup. He or she can identify any underlying health issues that could be standing in the way of conception. And if it really is just a case of bad timing, your healthcare provider is the best person to explain how to pinpoint ovulation—and the ideal window for conception—with such fertility basics as tracking menstrual cycles, measuring basal body temperature, and monitoring changes in cervical mucus.
What else would we like to tell Khloe? That she is one lucky lady to have a supportive guy like Lamar around. His reaction to the couple’s fertility woes?
“It’ll work out. If something is wrong, that doesn’t affect anything [we're] going to do [as a couple] … we’re not going to give up,” says Khloe.
It sounds like Khloe is taking these optimistic words to heart. “I help [my sister] Kourtney a lot with Mason … I’ve raised my little sisters Kendall and Kylie; I know I would be an amazing mom,” she has says (via Us magazine).
We’re sending some baby dust your way, Khloe!
