Bladder Infection

Infection of the urinary bladder. Some people are at more risk for bladder and other urinary tract infections (UTIs) than others. Women are at greater risk than men. One in five women experience a UTI during their lifetime.

Symptoms include:

  • a frequent urge to urinate
  • painful, burning when urinating
  • the feeling that you must still void your bladder after urinating
  • fever
  • chills
(Not all women experience symptoms.)
