WHAMUsually referring to the position of the fetus within the uterus. Sometimes babies will become positioned horizontally across the uterus, instead of the vertical position with the head or buttocks pointing toward the cervix. Usually the fetus will orient himself properly before labor. If the baby cannot be properly oriented, a C-section may be needed.
