Q&A: At what age is it OK for my toddler to use a big tub?

At what age is it OK to put our toddler in the family tub? Currently our 18-month-old daughter takes her baths in an infant tub—inside the family tub. Is it safe to make the transition to the big tub with a nonskid mat at her age?

If she is able to sit up by herself properly and is NEVER left unattended you can try the family tub. There are also bath "seats" on the market that make the transition a little easier.
