Grab the tissues! Jessica Simpson's pregnancy has moved her to (lots of) of tears.
The Scoop
Sure, she may tweet jokes about pregnant woman flatulence, but mama-to-be Jessica Simpson says that so far being pregnant has been one big tear-jerker. "That's the one thing about pregnancy—I'll cry at the drop of a hat," she tells Rachael Ray during a recent appearance on the cooking star's talk show (via US magazine). "Even a great souffle makes me cry."
And so, it seems, does feeling her baby kick. "I felt [the baby] move the other day for the first time and I had big crocodile tears," she gushes. "It was the coolest thing ever. It did a flip or something. I was like, 'There it went. It's there. It's really there.'"
Pass the Tissues
What's to blame for chipper Jessica's suddenly emotional state? According to Jess, it's those wacky and unpredictable pregnancy hormones—her hormonal state is even the reason why she is putting off her wedding to fiance and father-to-be Eric Johnson. "When you're pregnant, your hormones go crazy. I don't want to be super stressed out and end up being a bridezilla. So, I'll wait until after," she says.
The only thing not making Jessica cry? Her 3-year-old nephew, Bronx (mom is sis Ashlee Simpson), who spends his free time making gender predictions about his cousin-to-be. "He rubs my belly. He has guesses," she tells Rachel Ray. "He said he wants it to be a girl ... He thinks it's going to be a girl."
Only time (and more tears, we guess) will tell!
