With three upcoming movies including the much-anticipated Abduction with Taylor Lautner, Elisabeth Rohm has a jam-packed schedule. Although she originally rose to fame on Law and Order, this mom to daughter Easton has a problem, well, laying down the law. In fact, she tells BabyZone about that weakness and so much more.

What's your golden rule of parenting?

My golden rule of parenting is to allow myself the permission to start each day anew, without beating myself up for the things I didn't do right the day before. It's so easy to blame yourself and be critical … You just have to allow yourself to start fresh every morning.

Describe the best moment of parenting so far.

Well, it certainly was not giving birth [laughs]. The best part is the morning when she comes into my bed or when I put her to sleep and read her her book. I love the routine with her. I also really love bringing her to work and sharing my life with her and seeing how confident she is that I include her in my life. She notices the difference when I take her to adult situations and she feels she's being let into the magic world of grownups. It's like an adventure for her if she goes to the set or the studio.

And the worst?

Hmmm. My worst moment of parenting. I would say indecision is the worst moment of parenting [laughs]. I could probably cite several examples but you know I'm not the greatest disciplinarian. I would say that Easton calls me on my bluff of not being strong enough with her and I would say that was really humiliating [laughs]. My friend told me yesterday I have to discipline really hard in the beginning because it will pay off later. It's the last thing we think of because they are so little.

Best advice you ever got?

To remember how small they are. Whenever I'm frustrated or tired, I just look at her and I see how little she is and it really throws the focus back.

What's the one thing you can't live without?

My MacBook Air. I'm an addict … an Internet addict. I should be a meditating addict [laughs].

Finish this sentence: You know you're in the Baby Zone when...

I knew I was in the baby zone when I was at a meeting yesterday and I went into my purse to grab a pen and there were a pair of [my daughter's] underpants, plastic horses and dolls and her random chewed up cherry chap stick [laughs]. And I thought: My bag is so baby zone!
