With the ability to spike a volleyball like nobody's business and running gabbyreece360.com, it's no surprise that Gabby Reece has taken parenting head on. Competing professionally on the pro beach circuit for years, the frequent magazine cover model and mom to daughters Reece and Brody, admits to BabyZone that, when it comes to parenting, she has her strengths and even some weaknesses.

What's your golden rule of parenting?

Try to parent the person my child is, not the person I think they should be.

Describe the best moment of parenting so far.

The best moments of parenting are about all the little things—the comments, the giggles, the actions.

Describe the best moment of pregnancy.

When you hear the heartbeat of your child for the first time, [and] the moment your child cries when they are born and you know they are OK.

Do you have a worst moment of parenting?

Anytime your kid gets hurt on your watch it's difficult …When you discipline your children you always feel unsure about the right way to do it.

Describe the worst moment of pregnancy.

It was really difficult to play beach volleyball five months pregnant and very humbling. With my second child, I had a scare where I didn't feel movement for a while so I panicked.

Best advice you ever got?

To listen to my own instincts regarding my children.

What's the one thing you can't live without as a parent?

The outdoors—to run those little energizer bunnies!
