We know pregnancy as a time of great anticipation, joy, and excitement—and Rosie Pope is here to make it even better. As a maternity concierge to the über-rich—and star of the Bravo reality show Pregnant in Heels—Pope makes even the most bizarre requests come true, from arranging focus groups to decide on a baby name to hosting "nanny Olympics" in order to find the ultimate sitter. With a maternity line and parenting classes on offer as well, this mom of two is well-versed in the Baby Zone.

What's your golden rule of parenting?

Be flexible. Children change and grow on what seems like a daily basis. Your parenting skills need to change and grow too.

Describe the best moment of parenting so far.

Having a conversation with my 2 1/2-year-old. I finally know what he is thinking, and we can talk for ages about his day, his thoughts. It is amazing.

And the worst?

Having to leave my kids to go to work. It truly kills me every day, and I don't think I truly stop thinking about it until I get back home again at night.

Best parenting advice you ever got?

Children have the ability to understand more than you think. With this advice, I try to explain even complex things to my kids and even if they don't respond right away. It really seems to help, and the tantrums are certainly fewer for toddlers. For example, if I have to travel for work, why certain things are dangerous, talking out what is making them mad/sad. You'd be surprised how much real communication is actually possible if you try.

What's the one thing you can't live without?

My Rosie Pope London Shopper Leisure Diaper Bag. I carry both my life and my kids' around in this bag. From food to milk to lip gloss and diapers and a laptop—you name it, it is in there!

Finish this sentence: You know you're in the Baby Zone when...

... you start wearing ivory all the time, not because I particularly love it but because it camouflages the milk spit up stains!
