Signs and Symptoms
The signs and symptoms of depression can vary from woman to woman, since some may have a lesser form of it. "Typically, signs of depression can include a change in sleep pattern, eating habits (either eating too much or too little), loss of energy, feelings of worthlessness, guilt, feeling like one cannot even accomplish the littlest of things," says Dr. Randi Mozenter, Clinical Psychologist at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. "Other symptoms may include loss of interest or pleasure in activities that were once enjoyed, difficulty thinking or concentrating, and recurrent thoughts of death or suicide."
