The Safe Home Office

Prevent Furniture from Tipping Over

Secure all bookcases, file cabinets, and tall wall furniture to the walls with angle braces or anchors. You're more likely to have cords snaking across the floor in an office than in other rooms of the house, so take care to secure all loose cords to prevent tripping. This is as important for Mom and Dad as for Baby, but in addition to tripping, a child could drag office equipment down on himself. It's amazing the amount of weight a small body—especially a falling one—can move, and you probably have some pretty heavy stuff in your office.
