Christmas Comes Alive at The North Pole Experience
Nestled in the forest of Flagstaff, Arizona, The North Pole Experience brings the magic of Christmas alive. And for my little family, it's an experience we won't soon forget.
‘Tis the season for elves, good behavior and jolly, old men in suits. But for sweet, little, 3-year-old girls, the magic of Christmas is only now beginning to come alive. The weekend after Thanksgiving, our family ventured to Flagstaff, Arizona, a beautiful mountainous town, where a “portal” to Santa’s workshop takes you, by trolley, on a journey that you won’t soon forget.
The North Pole Experience, Home of Santa’s Worksop, is nestled in the forest of Flagstaff and provides an experience that is fun for all ages. From tots to teenagers, kids become elves and have plenty of one-on-one time with Santa. It’s also where the magic and joy of the holiday season comes alive for our little girl in a way that tales and stories had not done previously.
The night of our North Pole Experience, we stayed at a quaint hotel, Little America, where the NPX trolley departs from. The next morning, we were invited to a breakfast buffet with Santa. My daughter had the chance to meet the jolly old man personally and talk with him about her dreams (she wants to take care of sick animals). He told her to become a veterinarian because the world needs people to take care of our animals. He didn’t rush her or stick to toy-talk—he was thoroughly engaged. And as a mom, I watched as my little girl’s heart became full of the magic and love that the Christmas season brings. After breakfast, we walked the beautiful grounds of our hotel, coming onto some cowboys who offered us a sleigh ride. Tucked under a blanket, the four of us created some amazing family memories that we’ll remember forever.
