Top films to inspire babymaking
Romance and beyond! We're not saying these flicks will make you want to be parents in all the complex richness of that role. They may show the craziness of the world so that you question reproducing at all, or may show characters who make you want to copy their footloose lives. On the other hand, these films might just inspire you to do the deed—the very first step that makes us parents.
North by Northwest
1959
Cary Grant plays an ad exec who is mistaken for a government agent and chased across the country (and down Mount Rushmore) by a group of spies. Fortunately, the beautiful Eva Marie Saint appears to provide some welcome distraction between the misadventures.
What's sexy: Great chemistry and an implied romantic interlude on a train between the two stars.
What's not: The whole tale hinges on a murder, stylized as it is.
More in this line: Alfred Hitchcock had a way with attraction in a time of danger (and a unique way of promoting his films, see trailer to left). Rear Window and Notorious will also give you two types of chills.
