Q&A: I want to know if I am pregnant with twins since my hcg levels are so high.

by Dr. Gerard M. DiLeo

I am 5 weeks pregnant. I have had nausea, enhanced smells, milk cravings, headaches, extremely sore breasts and a stretching feeling on both sides of my pelvis since ovulation. My hcg count was 722 at 16 dpo. A few days ago my symptoms have reduced to sensitive breasts and the stretching feeling. Is this normal? Could this mean I am pregnant with twins since my hcg was so high?

The only inference you can get from hcg levels is when you compare 2, 48 hours apart. One will only tell you you're pregnant.
