Q&A: Should I be worried that I'm 9 weeks pregnant and not showing?

by Dr. Gerard M. DiLeo

I had my first ultrasound at six weeks and my OB said everything was fine. Since that appointment I have not gained any weight and I'm not even showing. I will be nine weeks this weekend. I'm scheduled to see my OB on the 29th should I be worried?

No. Depending on your body type and family tendencies, some women don't show until 14-18 weeks.

In fact, the uterus doesn't get big enough to rise out of the pelvis into the abdomen until 12 weeks, so the only way to show is with weight gain.

Or that "glow" everyone says you have!
