10 Ways to Battle Morning Sickness

Get a handle on the pregnancy queasies with these helpful tips

Feeling queasy can be one of the very first signs of pregnancy—and one of the least likeable. Many women experience varying degrees of morning sickness (sometimes lasting all day) on the path to motherhood. Find out what simple things you can incorporate into your daily routine to help manage morning sickness.

Don't Forget to Eat!

Graze through your day

Eating several small meals during the day may help you get rid of morning sickness, as symptoms often seem to be worse when the stomach is empty. While food may be the last thing you want, it is important to make sure you and Baby are getting the nutrition you both need.

Try snacking on high-carbohydrate and high-protein foods since they are easier to digest (good choices are whole-wheat crackers, bread, or pretzels, almonds, and granola cereals). Greasy, fatty foods may often worsen nausea, so pick your meals and snacks wisely.
