I had a hysterosalpingogram done which identified that I had a blockage at the beginning of my left tube. Doctor says it is probably a polyp and not to worry. He wants to do a hysteroscopy to remove the blockage. I am leaning towards doing this to increase my odds.
Is there any risk of ectopic pregnancy with these procedures if he doesn't need to go into the tube? Is there a risk of miscarriage? Are there any other risks?

I think the biggest risk for ectopic is the blockage that's there. There's a small risk with any procedure, but if he's successful in opening that tube, that will be a good investment in your fertility.
Also, if it really is a polyp, such polyps need to be evaluated as some can develop pre-cancerous tendencies. Don't panic--I said PRE-cancerous. Sounds like your doctor has a reasonable plan for all of the right reasons.
