Q&A: Is Terazol 3 to treat a yeast infection safe during pregnancy?

I am seven weeks pregnant and my doctor just prescribed Terazol 3 for my yeast infection, What effects, if any, will this have on my baby? I already went through a week of brown spotting at 5+ weeks but all tests and an ultrasound came back fine.

Probably very little of the Terazol will be absorbed, but as always, your doctor should be the one to weigh theoretical risk (minimal) to benefit (great, if the yeast irritation is significant).
