Q&A: Is it safe to be on Klonopin during pregnancy?

I would like any information you can give me on what birth defects to look into as I am on Klonopin and have been throughout my pregnancy.

This is a category C drug, in which the benefits should outweigh the risks. If you're taking it for seizures, I'd say the benefits of Klonopin FAR outweigh the risks, so keep taking it. If it's just for anxiety, I'd talk to your doctor about getting off of it, slowly, and seeking other non-medicinal coping methods.
