Orgasm Causes Pain

When I have an orgasm I have pain, almost like contractions, on my left side. Is this normal?

Yes, this isn't uncommon. Having an orgasm can release oxytocin, which is a hormone. The same hormone that will later trigger contractions before labor and delivery. But rest assured the contractions you're experiencing will not lead to childbirth. Still, you should mention your experiences to your health care provider at your next regularly scheduled office visit.
