Queasiness during your first trimester might kick in long before you feel comfortable announcing your pregnancy. Combat morning sickness by eating light and often—two great ways to avoid feeling ill. In The Working Woman's Pregnancy Book, author Dr. Marjorie Greenfield, MD, recommends keeping whatever foods you can tolerate within easy reach. Other work-friendly morning sickness remedies include drinking ginger tea, lemonade, or ginger ale; sucking on ginger or peppermint candies; and using acupressure bands.
