Talk to your OB-GYN about your specific situation. Dieting during pregnancy is not a good idea because the baby takes the nurients it needs and you get whatever is left over.
You should be eating a healthy diet full of fruits and vegetables and staying away from sweets. Sometimes, because you change your eating habits to include healthier foods when you are pregnant, you end up losing weight, especially if you are overweight. This is different than limiting yourself in what you eat. Your doctor should be able to help you with your diet or refer you to a nutritionist.
