Rachel Zoe's Boo (Hoo!) for Blue

by Jacqueline Tourville

Tears were flowing when Rachel Zoe found out she'd need blue fabric—and not pink—for her baby-to-be.

The Scoop

Star stylist Rachel Zoe's hit reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project, is back and it's all about baby as the cameras follow Zoe though the ups and downs of her pregnancy last year with son Skyler. There were plenty of pregnancy belly laughs as the fourth season got underway, but fans of the fun-loving and always outspoken Zoe may have been caught a bit off-guard when the sassy fashionista suddenly turned serious as she revealed her initial disappointment over carrying a boy.

"I always had this plan in my mind that I was gonna have this little baby girl," Rachel confessed. "I found out I was having a boy, and I did cry for a week. Or two. Maybe even three."

We all know this story has a happy ending: there's no shortage of celebrity sightings of smiling mama Zoe showing off her bouncing baby boy. She even brought him along for an appearance on Live! with Regis and Kelly and seems to gush about motherhood whenever she gets the chance.

But in the earlier days of pregnancy? She admits, "I wanted a little girl that I would take to Paris and go to all the couture shows with her sitting on my lap."

Clothes Cure

So what got her used to—and loving—the idea of a baby boy? Fashion, of course! As Zoe now proudly proclaims, "I'm over it now because I found some really cute clothes for little boys!"

Her favorite find so far? Pint-sized biker jackets. Welcome to the world of style, Skyler!
