Q&A: Is it okay that I am 14 weeks pregnant and haven't gained any weight?

by Dr. Gerard M. DiLeo

I’m 14 weeks pregnant and haven't gained any noticeable weight. Is this something I should worry about? I've had several ultrasounds that have shown the baby is growing. The last one was just before 12 weeks.

Unless you're throwing up everything, it's got to be going somewhere. Your baby takes what he or she needs and leaves the rest for you, so if the baby's growing just fine, don't worry about it. You'll laugh at yourself when you hit the second trimester and remember you were worried about not gaining any weight.
