Q&A: When will I start showing with twins?

This is my first pregnacy and I just found out I am having twins. Is my uterus size double because of the two babies? I would also like to know at what stage most women start showing when they are having twins.

Even with a first pregnancy, a twin pregnancy can start showing fairly early, like 12-14 weeks in clothes, or 8-10 weeks without clothing. Of course, that's if you don't figure in the "frumpy" factor, which determines whether you want to wear fitted clothes that accentuate your pregnancy or baggy ones to hide it. Regardless of what the "frumpy" factor is for you, with twins the jig's up at about 20 weeks no matter what.
