I am 12 weeks pregnant. Prior to having had an early ultrasound, I was concerned about ectopic pregnancy because I was experiencing pain in the ovary or fallopian tube area. Although everything appears to be fine, I still have some pain in that same area, at times worse than others. It's certainly not unbearable, but it is a concern. I have heard of cysts in pregnancy--is this likely to be the cause? Initially, I thought I could feel a small lump, but I can't feel that anymore.
I thank you for any information you can provide.

Usually the corpus luteal cyst of pregnancy fizzles away by about 12 weeks. After that, your pain might just be caused by adhesions due to old scar tissue getting tugged as the uterus stretches. If it's in the inguinal area, it may be round ligament pain, harmless but sometimes painful.
If you continue to be concerned you should bring this to your doctor's attention.
