Q&A: Should I be concerned about spotting at 6 weeks pregnant?

I have been spotting consistently since intercourse but with no cramping or pain. I am six weeks pregnant through AIH. The bleeding comes and goes, but I’ve experienced it every day for five days now. This morning I passed a very small clot. Should I be concerned? My doctor doesn't seem worried as my HCG numbers were doubling every 41 hours.

The HCG numbers are reassuring, so your doctor is right. The only thing extra you could do is an ultrasound to rule out a subchorionic bleed (bleeding under a spot of the placenta that often goes away as mysteriously as it started). Good luck!
