Mom knows best. She also makes some great products that help parents to raise happy, healthy kids. Here are 12 awesome products invented, designed and created by moms (and dads, too)!
Made By Mom (and Dad!)
Products that moms love best aren’t always pretty or expensive—they just have to work! Parents know what other parents need, and these 12 products invented by moms (and dads) help us take care of our kids without a ton of fuss.
GoFreshBaby Reusable Food Pouches
GoFreshBaby is made by a mom and dad team wanting to give their two boys great nutrition while on the go. “Like all great ideas, GoFreshBaby Resuable Food Pouches was born out of necessity. Concerned about the the cost and environmental effects of all the disposable foil pouches, we came up with a better alternative. What’s more, we wanted to make homemade organic food purees easy to consume on the go.”
As practical as they are gorgeous, mom inventor of chewbeads had a son who chewed on everything, including her necklaces! Her concern was “that they might break or have unwanted chemicals. As a veteran of the fashion industry, I had an amazing collection of necklaces and bracelets, so with those as my inspiration, I set out to create soft, non-toxic jewelry, which was colorful, chic and, above all else safe. Hence, Chewbeads!”
Made By DAD! The FirstBIKE
Having recently tested the FirstBIKE with my two kids, I am so happy this product was invented! Practicality meets quality and awesome design, as kids start to learn the mechanics of balance. Ralf Coerschulte, an avid German cyclist, product designer, and father, developed FirstBIKE with one goal: “To build the best balance bike for younger children, allowing them to learn to ride a bike intuitively and without stress.”
A long time favorite of this mom, DapperSnappers were invented by a mom who was tired of her toddler’s pants not fitting correctly. For children as young as 9 months, these elastic bands make it easy for potty training and making the most of your growing child’s clothes. They come in solid colors, patterns and various sizes.
The Daisy Baby - Beautiful Handmade Infant Hats
The Daisy Baby are handmade, mom-designed children’s hats that are simply stunning. With soft fabrics, perfected sizing and adorable designs, it’s no wonder that they’re mom made. The Daisy Baby moms (of now grown up babies) are proud of their designs: “We hope to help you treasure these precious times today and for years to come, whether it be by glancing at an uber-cute photo or by pulling one of our lil’ hats out to be passed down in your family.”

A true product of necessity, “The Straw-lution Straw was created to make soft foods and beverages easier to eat/drink on the go, with less mess. It also increases independence for babies and toddlers, the elderly or others needing assistance. We look forward to making your life more convenient, more mobile, and less messy.”
A healthy and practical invention (especially for those of us living in the desert during the summer months!), the Refresh-a-Baby is a must-have. “Gina Almonte, a former elementary school teacher and a mother of two, invented and patented a quick & easy way to hydrate babies on-the-go! Her product, Refresh-a-Baby turns ordinary water bottles and beverage bottles into baby bottles!”
bINKED Kids: An Alternative to Piercing
This mom inventor wanted an alternative to piercing her young daughter’s ears, “When I couldn’t find a solution that wasn’t a choking hazard, I created my own! bINK’d (created Fall of 2009) you see was a solution to a problem for me. I wanted to create the look of earrings without having the commitment, or the dangers associated with young children getting piercings.”
Baby Face Bands
I love this letter from the mom inventor of Baby Face Bands. Don’t so many of us think the same thing?! “I’ll admit it. I’m somewhat of germaphobe. So imagine my reaction when I was helping out in the church nursery one day and constantly saw children picking up and drinking from someone else’s sippy cup. Most of the cups were labeled with the child’s name, but there was a problem— kids can’t read!” Baby Face Bands help kids help us—what’s not to love about that!
