Design Worthy Diaper Bags
Because gaining a baby doesn't have to mean losing your sense of style
Nest Grommet Diaper Bag
The entire line of Nest diaper bags are as functional as they are beautiful, with interior and exterior pockets, bottle holders, and divided pockets for easy organization. Plus, many of their bags (including the Grommet) have a changing pad stowed in a zippered compartment on the bottom of the bag, so it is perfectly separated from the rest of your goodies. And yes, the silk scarf if included.
And these bags are so über chic, you’ll want to use them well after your baby is out of diapers. The folks at Nest figured you might feel that way, so many of their bags feature a zip-out lining. This way, your diaper bag can easily become your daily bag.
I am completely enamored with the new dove grey Storksak Elizabeth bag. The diaper bag was already one of my favorites (so much so that I still use the one I bought when I was expecting my second daughter), but now I’m wishing they had this gorgeous color a few years ago! Maybe I’m just a sucker for “lake washed” leather. (I have no idea what that means, but it sounds pretty cool…) But it’s probably the fact that this ‘diaper’ bag – with ten internal, washable pockets that can be removed – seems more like a work bag that would impress at any business meeting.
Petunia Pickle Bottom: Sashay Satchel
I think there are pickle people and non-pickle people. Much to the shock of my husband and 6-year old, I’m the latter. I’m just not a fan of pickles. I am, however, a HUGE fan of Petunia Pickle Bottom™ . Each new collection brings dreamier designs, cool new bag shapes, and striking color combinations. I love that the Sashay Satchel has the shape of a sleek handbag and the functionality of a practical diaper bag. And the cool optional backpack straps make this great looking bag easy to travel with (and they can be tucked into their own storage pockets when they’re not in use)!
Cake Collection from Petunia Pickle Bottom: Hampton Holdall
I had to add another bag from Petunia Pickle Bottom™. But my excuse is that their “Cake Collection” seems like a separate company, with its sumptuous tweed and cut velvet bags. And with distinctive silhouettes that recall another era (one where moms dressed to the nines just to push their baby’s pram around the block), the Cake collection will make you feel sophisticated and “put together”, even if you’ve been wearing the same sweatpants for four days and haven’t slept in a week.
