My 10 Favorite Baby Products
After six years and three babies, here are ten of my very favorite products for babies. From blankets to baskets to baby dolls, these tried-and-true picks stand the test of time!
Aiden and Anais Swaddle Blankets
If I had to choose only one baby blanket to live by, it would be Aiden + Anais swaddle blankets. Lightweight and breathable, they are perfect for warm climates and large enough to use for a nursing privacy cover. They fold and roll well for travel and soften with each wash. We love the bamboo ones best!
I’ve used a Moses basket with all three of my kids and love that it keeps baby close during daytime naps. Our basket becomes a portable bed when the older kids want to play outside or when we’re visiting friends. Badger makes a very affordable Moses basket, available online and in several stores. *Note: Moses baskets should NOT be used to carry baby.
Handmade in Peru and 100% cotton with character descriptions such as “she likes old pinks and vanilla tea,” Blabla dolls are sweet keepsakes meant to be cherished for years. I love their soft sweater material and whimsical details and too often find myself on their site, scanning their impressive selection of dolls for a new family member. My eye’s on Perchance the Cat.
Originally only available in Australia, Bonds baby clothes now offer international shipping, and we’re thrilled. From their famous wondersuit to their incredible selection of cotton basics, we love their softness and their snug fit.
Infantino Twist and Fold Gym
When my son was born earlier this year, friends at Infantino sent me this Deluxe Twist and Fold Gym from their Go Ga Ga line. I loved the patterns and textures immediately but realized just how great this gym is when I traveled alone with my kids this summer. This gym quickly folds and can be easily stored in a suitcase and popped back up in seconds.
Land of Nod Crib Sheets
After three babies, we’ve gone through several crib sheets, and Land of Nod sheets are by far my favorite. While they are soft and wear well, it’s their selection of patterns I love most–bold, unique prints that catch your eye the minute you walk in a nursery. We love our big yellow polka dot sheets.
L'oved Baby Basics
These soft, snug cotton basics come in a nice palette of colors and are affordable enough so you can stock up on your favorites. Perfect for newborns, their gowns and sleepers hug little bodies just right. My favorite are their cotton sleeveless overalls–my son has them in three colors!
Marcela Baby Books
For all the money we spend on baby gear we’ll only keep for a couple years, a good baby book is worth a splurge as it’s something we keep forever. I love my kids’ books from Marcella Creations. Not only are they beautiful on the outside, but the pages are set up to easily document milestones and memories. And, the three-ring binder style allows moms to add extra pages and photo sleeves.
I didn’t discover Natursutten pacifiers until my last child, but I wish I had. Softer than silicone, they’re made from 100% natural rubber and are BPA, phthalates and PVC-free. Our pacifiers have been doubling as teethers lately as they are easy to grasp and their ring handle makes a great soother for sore gums.
Under the Nile Softie Toys
I’ve loved the Under the Nile company for years for both their business philosophy and their soft Egyptian cotton products. Their vegetable softie toys are simple and colorful and the perfect size and shape for an infant’s grasp. It’s no surprise this is an early favorite toy of my son’s.
