June 2, 2009: Bugaboo Bee Strollers Recall
According to the US Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC), Bugaboo North America Inc., of Hermosa Beach, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 22,500 of its Bugaboo Bee Strollers after receiving 121 reports of the stroller’s brakes failing. One or both sides of the brakes can fail, causing a stroller to unexpectedly roll away on an incline. This can pose a risk of injury to the child occupant, though no injuries have been reported.
