November 6, 2007: Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn™ Kitchen Toys Recall

by BabyZone Editors

Glance in your playroom, Moms and Dads: Does your child have a mini-kitchen playset? This popular dramatic play toy for toddlers and preschoolers may need to be returned if it's part of the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn™ line of kitchen toys. Manufactured in Mexico, these playsets join a growing list of Mattel toys recalled recently.

Recall Reason

Approximately 155,000 kitchen playsets have been recalled on account of small parts separating from the toys, according to the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC). Pieces of the faucet or the clock hands can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

The CPSC has received two reports of children gagging on pieces, one report of a child who started choking on a piece, and one report of a child who choked on a piece.
