April 8, 2008: Fun ‘N Games Magnetic Dart Boards Recall

Magnets may come loose, posing a threat to children who accidentally swallow them

by BabyZone Editors

These plastic, wall-mounted, magnetic dart boards were sold at dollar stores nationwide. If you have purchased these boards, immediately take them away from children and return them by first class mail to importer Henry Gordy (at the address below) for a full refund, including tax and shipping costs.

Recall Reason

According to a recall posted on the website of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), these magnetic dart boards have been voluntarily recalled due to the tendency of the magnets at the end of the darts to come loose. Children who swallow these magnets risk aspiration, intestinal blockage, and intestinal perforation, which may be fatal.
