November 4, 2008: OKK Trading Mini-Televisor Toy TV Recall

The paint on the TV contains excessive levels of lead.

Recall Reason

According to the US Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC), OKK Trading of Los Angeles, California, has voluntarily recalled approximately 2,100 of its Mini-Televisor TV toy. Although no injuries have been reported, the surface coating of paint on the television may contain excessively high levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

The recalled toy is sold under the brand name "Mini-Televisor." This plastic TV toy has a microphone and is powered by 2 AA size batteries. There is a "TV Painting Board" sticker label on the front panel and carrying handle of the toy.

The TVs were sold at OKK Trading's Web site at www.okktoys.com from July 2008 through September 2008 for about $1.

Whom to Contact

Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from children and contact OKK Trading for a refund or an exchange.
