Dorel Juvenile Group USA has expanded the recall of Safety 1st SmartLight Stair Gates. If you purchased this gate, please contact the company for a repair kit.
Recall Reason
Accoring to Dorel and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the hinges that hold the Safety 1st SmartLight Stair Gate in place can break, posing a fall hazard to children if the gate is placed at the top of the stairs. Dorel has expanded the original recall, from April 2009, to include products manufactured in 2008.
