Time to look through your playroom and art closet to see if you have Spin Master's Aqua Dots. The Chinese-made toy, geared for ages four and up, is a craft kit containing small, colored beads that stick together when sprayed with water. This product follows in a string of recent toy recalls.
Recall Reason
A chemical discovered in the Aqua Dots' coating, which allows the beads to adhere together when wet, has been found to be toxic when ingested. The Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) has received recent reports of children swallowing Aqua Dots and experiencing dizziness and vomiting; more severe cases include children who've developed respiratory depression, experienced seizures, and become comotose.
