Recall Reason
The recalled boats come in several colors and designs; the image here represents just one.
According to the US Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC), Dollar General Merchandising Inc. is recalling more than 200,000 battery-operated toy speedboats. The two battery terminals can come into contact with each other, causing the battery to overheat and posing a burn hazard to consumers; two incidents have been reported already.

Manufactured in China, the toys were sold at Dollar General nationwide from March 2008 through July 2008 for $3 each.
