One of the joys of traveling is eating out. You don't have to cook or do the dishes—hurrah! Kids get to eat new foods and make funny faces at the other diners—hooray! Here are a few items to tuck into your diaper bag or purse to make restaurant visits a little easier:

  1. Plastic washable bib
  2. Wet wipes, wet wipes, wet wipes
  3. Snacks like crackers or fruit to keep kids busy while they wait for the food to arrive
  4. Disinfectant wipes or a disinfectant gel like Purel for the table or highchair
  5. Changing pad and spare diaper
  6. Crayons and paper or other amusements
