I recently quit taking the pill. How long should I wait before trying to conceive?

You may start to get pregnant immediately. Birth control pills are very short acting and therefore are out of your system almost immediately after the last pill. So you don't have to worry about any adverse effects on a baby. Also, studies have found that there is no delay of fertility in women stopping the pill compared to women who did not take the pill and started attempting pregnancy.
