Q&A: Do children really need life insurance?

Do children really need life insurance coverage? I have my 3-year-old on the Gerber Grow-Up plan and am thinking of signing up my 4-week-old for the plan also. But is it really worth it?

I also have my child on the Gerber Grow-Up Plan. My husband and I had two main reasons for signing up our child.

Firstly, you never know what life has in store for you, so if anything were to happen to your child you would have some money for final expenses. On the brighter side, this is a policy which your child will be able to carry on when she reaches adult age. I guess each person should weigh the benefits versus the cost for themselves, to determine if this is the correct way to go for their family. I hope this helps.
