I am 2 months pregnant and I have atopic eczema on both my nipples (comes and goes). It has been quite uncomfortable with itching. Is this very common? I had this problem a couple of years before I got pregnant. I used Advantan Cream and Hydro-Wolff cream in the past. Should I stop using them? Are they harming my baby? If yes, do you have any good recommendation for other milder cream?
I have been seen my own Dr. but she ignored my question which worried me a lot. (My husband and I live in Austria. People are a bit different from us)

I'm not sure about these particular brand names, but if these creams are variations on steroids, they act by cooling down the immune response. It's probably unknown how much gets absorbed, into your circulation, and then into the baby's circulation...but probably not much by the time all of these pathways are realized. Nevertheless, you might want to wait until you're firmly into your 2nd trimester before using this and in the meantime, use the usually ineffective remedies, like lanolin, etc.
If any of these products are Vitamin A derivatives (the carotenes, etc.), stop using them immediately.
